October:

Update your marine charts and check navigation aids because authorities may pull channel markers or buoys as early as October.

Always dress for the changing air & water temperatures. Air temps may be warmer mid-day but quickly cools towards afternoon approaches. Remember the water cools down quickly.
Always wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life vest to reduce the risk of hypothermia and drowning in an emergency.
